Many Effects of Chemicals in Our Life
There are a number of concerns about the effects of chemicals we use in our everyday lives and the chemicals used in industry and agriculture.
What are your thoughts about the effects of these products on the planet and the population?
As the world gets more advanced, people tend to spend more time to keep up with the technology and they forget what they are eating and drinking in their everyday lives. The world market is filled with home products containing chemicals which are not fully tested and thus are harmful for the societies around the world. The untested materials enter our environment and expose the humans, wildlife and plants to toxic effects. The pests that surround the human beings cause the greatest damage to the world population. They produce the crop damage around the world and can cause extreme discomfort to humans. The pesticide poisoning can cause headaches, muscle weakness and dizziness. It also has effects on the planet such as disruption of endocrine system of bird, fish and mammals. The trees also get affected by the pesticides which turns the fruits and vegetables toxic.
Pesticides often contain inert ingredients in addition to the active ingredients that are designed to kill the target pest. Unfortunately, the public is not provided information about what inert ingredients are included in pesticides in most cases.
At least 382 of the effects of chemicals that the U.S. EPA lists as inert ingredients were once or are currently also registered as pesticide active ingredients. This means that the public is kept in the dark about the contents of pesticide products that may be hazardous. Among the ingredients that are listed as both inert and active ingredients are chloropicrin, which has been linked to asthma and pulmonary edema.
